I need to do better at this.

Okay, I know my New Year's resolution was to post to this blog at least three times a week, and I have not done so thus far. I hope to bring the average up over the next few weeks, Lord willing!
  I've had a strange week at work, as we prepare for our big move I am spending a portion of each day at our new place, then about 5:30 p.m. I go to our old place, this I am told is the routine until we are all fully moved into the new building, which has been scheduled for January 22nd.. Saturday we all had mandatory overtime, again, but everybody was remote because the plan was to pack up all of the office furniture for the move.
 Saturday morning I had to go to church for a meeting, and on the way home I swung by the office. They had already moved and dismantled about 3/4 of the office when I got there about noon. Now let's see when they are going to physically move the furniture? They don't even have a designated space for our office in the new building yet, which is a little concerning.
   At the church meeting they discussed plans for 2024. This is going to be a fun and blessed year for us all! I am so very thankful that I am included with all of this.
  In January 2023 when it was announced there would be a leadership meeting, I didn't think I was qualified to go. But the pastor came up to me and said you're coming to the meeting on Saturday right? I was so very excited and happy to be included in this group. It is a big responsibility but with the Lord's help I can do it. In 2023 I ended up being a adult Sunday School teacher, and was actually given keys and the alarm code for the church itself! Our pastor keeps saying our gifts will make a space for us. which is based on Proverbs 18:16. 
  I am also reminded of Luke 16:10 which tells us,   "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much".
  Yesterday at church we celebrated the 84th anniversary of the official foundation of the Camden Bible Tabernacle. I am exceptionally thankful for those who stepped forward on faith and have brought it this far. I just hope I can do what I can, with the Lord's help, to move things forward through the new generation.
  We are getting ready for the first snow storm in almost 2 years! I am somewhat nervous, because I have yet to drive this car in the snow, I am not sure how it will handle. On Wednesday morning I am going to Pine Hill for a breakfast meeting with the man from Faith in New Jersey Committee. I am not sure what they want from me, but I was tempted to go for a nice dinner breakfast! Let us see if the weather will allow such a thing.

NJ Transit Fare Holiday Adventure

When Governor Murphy announced the Fare Holiday week, which included Labor Day weekend, I knew I had to take advantage of this!  The question became when and where? It is the end of summer, so my thoughts were of ‘Summer things’ (at least in my mind). The Jersey Shore? Most certainly! But which beach? I took the Atlantic City Line train to Atlantic City on Memorial Day, which was already checked off for the summer of 2024. Maybe this was the excuse I needed to get on New Jersey Transit’s longest bus line: The 317 which runs from Philadelphia to Asbury Park and passes right in front of my home in Mt. Holly?   After checking maps and weather, the plan began to come together: First Stop: Point Pleasant Beach. What comes after that, I don’t know. After spending two-plus hours on a bus, maybe I won’t want to do this much more.   2004 NEW HAMPSHIRE TRIP “You can’t take your vacation between Father’s Day and Thanksgiving,” the boss told me one day in February, “and the sooner you pick your days, the less of a chance someone else will take the days you want.” “Okay, I’ll pick them up soon,” was my reply. That Sunday in church, Major Navarro made an announcement. “This year we are going to be hosting a special campaign during Holy week, the Territorial Evangelists will be visiting us and will be running special services each day from Palm Sunday through Easter Sunday.
